Definitely hell of win, right here.

I think everybody's said pretty much everything there is to say about this song.
Well, except for this: you know exactly how I feel about your guitar tone. And it's still just a tiny bit on the 'noisy buzz' side, to me. But hey, whatever, it still kicks ass. \m/
And if you do eventually become a record producer/engineer, remember who your friends are. ;]
This song kicks so much balls, it's not even funny.
WRITE LYRICS.
Then send them to me, and I will pwn it.
Oh yeah, I got Som. done, I'll email that to you in a sec.
I love this tune, dude. You should start a band, and get famous and shit.
That would rule.
Metal!!! \m/

Oh, and to everyone - I DID NOT randomly say 'shut the fuck up' in the middle of Await the Retribution. That guy is a moron. (/rant)

deathkllr84 responds:

I'll try to get famous lol, dunno how it'll work out.
\m/ love dude

I have it too!!! =D

Are you running it through a cabinet sim of any kind?
Sounds pretty good, but it can sound even better, I think.
I might submit a quick demo of the way I use it.
Anyway, cool riffz.
Metal! \m/

nihilisticeq responds:

I'm using impulses.

I agree with Kor...

This was a total ball to be a part of, and I'm glad it came out so well.
Can't wait to get started on the next one!

Highly Agreed with you there! \m/

This is fucking amazing on so many levels.
I can't even begin to describe... holy shit dude, this is CRAZY.
Fuckin' awesome.

2.49 / 5.00 (+ 0.45) < All my shitty 5 could do.

HappyHomicide responds:

Haha thanks man. I definitely think people hate me here.

Odd swells?

There are some odd swells during the note changes.
I'm not sure what's causing them, but whatever it is, it's very distracting.
I've heard of orchestral VST's having problems with notes swelling up to full volume instead of hitting instantly.
I think that, combined with the notes changing on every beat, is causing the swells.
Unfortunately, I can't think of a good way to fix it.
Compression might help some, so you could try that.
If the stupid swells weren't so distracting, I'd say you had an awesome beat.
I do agree that some changes would be nice, though.
Overall, though, the tune is good.
Keep up the great work.

Blasphem-E responds:

Thanks for the review. Ya, I kind of noticed the swelling a bit, but I honestly didn't personally mind it. I'll see what I can do about that in future

Needs some work.

Guitars sound pretty cool, but the drums need some work.
Primarily, the kick is way too quiet, and a little too deep, with no 'pop'.
The cymbals are also slightly too loud, but not too bad.
The snare... I don't know why, but I don't like it. Something about it just doesn't sound good.
Anyway, that's all my opinion, take it or leave it.
Sounds good overall though, I can tell you put some work into this one.
Good job.

KitsuMech responds:

Yeah I tried using a different drum kit and in FL studio, so it's like learning all over again @_@.

Love the criticism on the drums, I'll tweak 'em around and get a better balance before the final product is here. Thanks man!

Metal. Fucking metal.

That's what I'm talking about.
Fuck yes.
Cool lyrics, awesome double-tracking...
Fuck.
3.85 / 5.00 (+ 0.38) <- all my wimpy-assed 5 could do.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Thanks bro. I wish I had more time to play around with this. I barely even got warmed up.

Anyways, thanks for the vote as well. Regardless of how much you raised it, a 5 is a 5 and much appreciated!\m/

Not bad for synth.

As a rule, I hate synth guitars.
They usually sound like wet douche, and make me want to cry.
However, looking past the synth guitars and annoying drums, there's a decent song here.
Pretty cool riffs, good structure. Overall, a decent song that would be greatly improved by live instruments. Seeing as to how that's not possible, I didn't count off for that, just the subpar mixing (snare's too loud, all the guitar is in one channel, etc.).
You've got an all-right song here, man. Now, all you gotta do is learn guitar.
Lawl.

asmorbidus responds:

yeah, the only real instrument i play is drums and a very moderate amount of bass. the reason the guitar sounds so far right is because i think i spread it too much, i put the bass and guitar 25% left and 25% right respectively. were both pretty much in agreement about the guitar sound, but if you want, your more than welcome to lay down the track. i could then the bassline, record that and then re-mix the audio, and get it to where its worth atleast a 3 and a 9.

Cool!

I like this one; it's really good, in a weird way.
The production could definitely use some work, especially the drums, but the riffs and structure are awesome.
As far as improving the drums, I think the main thing to do would be turn down the cymbols (as in, way down), and then crank the whole drum track up, so more kick and snare comes through.
Guitars... yeah, definitely need some EQ work going on there.
Try bumping around 400Hz up by about 5 dB, and see what that gives you, then go from there.
Great song, keep up the good work. I look forward to hearing more from you.

JohnLimeson responds:

Thanks for the review and thanks for tips. I've tweaked it a bit and added a new drum track. It's still not perfect but I'm done fiddling. This has been a good learning experience.

I'm a dude. I play guitar. I am metal to the core. Don't try to over-metal me. You will be annihilated.
