Shit.

Now I have to redo my vocals, lawl.
Not really, I kept them. I'll probably end up redoing them anyway though, they kinda sucked.
Anyway, sounds like all the problems I had were fixed.
Awesome job, bro, and I'm looking forward to our other project.
Speaking of which, what happened to that?

Nicholls responds:

Yes Bro!!!!!

Hell yea lets do another project.... just dont let me do the drums...... there shit lol....
Hows 94 hours going?

Not bad, dude.

I think it could have been a little faster, maybe 10 BPM, but that's probably just me.
I'm used to listening to the Megadeth version, lawl.
The bass sounds pretty good, but it could use a little compression, some notes are quite a bit louder than others.
I don't much like the way the drums sound, either; the bass isn't loud enough and the samples just sound thin and wimpy.
But that's something that's pretty easily remedied, so I didn't count off for that.
Overall, it's a good cover of a legendary song.
Kudos.

metalhead884 responds:

Was it the snare? I thought it was too loud and annoying, but I submitted it to see if anyone else had anything similar or different to say, thanks for the feedback! As for the speed, I went by the actual song and played it at that speed. The "thin and whimpy" is a damn good example of "too digital." I used Gear Box for the guitar, which is why it sounds like shit, too bad I found out too late after I bought the damn thing. Nice to know someone has a good ear out there.

Lots of good, some bad.

Drums = awesome.
Guitar work = awesome.
Guitar tone = awesome.
Vocalist = bad.
I can't stand this type of vocal, the inhaled shit. Real vocals are exhaled.
Seriously, with a better vocalist, you guys could go far.
That is, of course, my (almost) professional opinion. You're welcome to take it or leave it.

Definitely better than a lot of the 'metal' here..

You already know the vokills sound bad, so I'm going to refrain from commenting on them.
I like your guitar tone, but it could definitely be better.
From my system, it sounds like they could either be more brutal, or more fizzy, and either way, a little more mid would be nice to thicken it up a little.
The drums are good, I approve.
The solos in the middle need work, though.
Maintaining a backing riff is important, You should always do two rhythms (left and right) and then go back and add solos over whatever riffs they go over.
The end cuts off, not sure what's up with that.
Aside from all that, the only structure thing I could think of would be a slight change in the intro, it's a bit too long and monotonous.
Once the verse kicks in, though, it's a goner.
I like it, overall.
If you ever need somebody to do vocals for you, don't hesitate to PM me, I'm always up for a collab.
Just check my shit, and see if I'm the man for the job.
Metal forever!!!

Ahhh....

That's better.
I can hear myself think now.
And I'm thinking...
Vocals.
Yes, indeedy.

Nicholls responds:

Hell Yea Bro!!!!!

I may rerecord the guitars lol, plus i just noticed that the drums overpower everything a bit lol!!!

AH WELL

Hmmm...

My guess is Dimebag Darrell.

Devastus responds:

Nah, even though he's definitely something that took a hit on the direction of the whole metal genre.

Thanks for your review.

Well...

It's not bad.
You do mention that it's a rough mix, and it is. Very rough.
Out of curiosity, how did you do the drums?
They sound like live drums, or bad samples, one of the two.
And no, you don't have the pinches quite down yet.
You need to work on those, and your palm-mutes 'ring' too much, they need more muting.
Your guitar tone needs some work as well.
Overall, you've got a good start.
Now, iron out those technical and production flaws, and you'd have an excellent instrumental cover on your hands.

Holy. Fuck.

Damn, dude.
I really need to get some Death albums, because this song kicks royal ass.
That said, the recording needs some work.
Mainly, the bass kinda gets lost in the mix.
Crank that mofo up, I want to feel it in my balls.
Besides that, you've got an awesome instrumental here.
Now, all I have to do is learn the lyrics and try to rip Chuck's style...
Or maybe I'll do it in my own...hmm...
Anyway, badass work, bro.
Can't wait to get started.

Creeping-Dan responds:

Methulll dude. Yeh ive sorted my drum problem now. Not with this. See my computer has 1GB left on it so i have to throw away all the masters n stuff haha. Im gonna buy an external hard drive to keep it all dont though.

Dooder...

I may have commited a cardinal sin of metal by...*gasp* never having listened to this band.
That said, it would be a while before I could get to where I could listen to the original, then record vox, because I'm visiting relatives out-of-state, and am going to be here until Sunday.
So I probably can't get on board this one, but I look forward to hearing it and joining in on the next one.
(Maybe a Megadeth song... High Speed Dirt, anyone?)
METAL FOREVER!!!

Eternalreich responds:

No prob dude i just thought you have the closest voice to Walker that ive heard so far.

Hails

Well...

I'll start off by saying it's not bad.
However, there are some things that could be a lot better.
The distorted guitar is actually too distorted, in a bad way.
That distortion is 'digital' distortion, which is really just nasty fuzz.
You need some good analog distortion, such as a distortion pedal or a good guitar amp or amp program.
I do really like the harmonies, and the layout of the song is definitely not bad.
Honestly, there's a ton of potential here, but the execution definitely needs work.
I look forward to hearing the finished product.

Sureiyaazu responds:

I used a POD 2.0 .... with the Insane distortion... ^^
I gonna think about it...
thank you, too =)

I'm a dude. I play guitar. I am metal to the core. Don't try to over-metal me. You will be annihilated.
